ToneScope (“the App”) is an audio visualization and digital signal processing (DSP) tool designed to help users analyze sound in real time. Your privacy is important to us, and this Privacy Policy explains how ToneScope handles information.
1. Information We Collect
Audio Input
- ToneScope may access the device's microphone to capture audio signals only when the user explicitly enables audio input.
- Audio data is processed locally on your device for real-time visualization (e.g., spectrum, waveform, spectrogram).
- No audio data is transmitted to external servers or shared with third parties.
Optional Local Recording
- ToneScope offers an optional recording feature that allows users to save microphone input as audio files.
- Recordings are stored locally on your device only (in the app's Documents folder).
- Recording is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled by the user in Settings.
- Users have full control over recordings and can keep, export, or discard them at any time.
- Recordings are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared by the app.
No Personal Data
ToneScope does not collect, store, or process:
- Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number)
- Account information
- Location data
- Contacts
